Cyndi Lauper: When "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was released to radio in 1984, Cyndi Lauper suddenly found herself immersed with instant fame. The road to success was not easy for Lauper, who recently released the blues infused disc, Memphis Blues, in 2010. She struggled with finding her voice and paying her rent during the early 80s. She persevered, however, and in 1983 released her mega-successful debut, She's So Unusual. Nearly thirty years later and Cyndi Lauper isn't going anywhere. Currently on the road, Cyndi Lauper tour dates are scheduled throughout 2011 to promote her latest disc. Don't miss a date on this pop legend's concert schedule; Use Eventful for Cyndi Lauper tour dates and venue information.

Lauper's debut album spawned four top five singles, sold nearly ten million copies worldwide, and earned Lauper the Best New Artist Grammy Award. Cyndi Lauper then embarked on the She's So Unusual Tour, and achieved worldwide acclaim. Her sophomore album, True Colors, was equally formidable and featured the #1 single of the same name. Throughout the '80s and '90s, this eclectic performer embarked on several tours including the True Colors Worldwide Tour, The Wildest Dreams Tour with Tina Turner, and Do You Believe? Tour with Cher. By the end of the decade, Lauper was an accomplished actress as well having won an Emmy for her guest role on the hit TV show - Mad About You.

Lauper continued to tour and record throughout the new millennium, with her sound moving towards electronica and dance. More recently, Lauper entered the world of Blues and released Memphis Blues in 2010. The album was an immediate hit and returned Lauper back to the upper echelons of the Billboard 200, earning her a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Blues Album. To promote her latest effort, Cyndi Lauper tour dates have been scheduled nationally at several cozy venues. Stay on top of Cyndi Lauper tour dates and use Eventful as your concert calendar.

Hunter Valentine: The name Hunter Valentine represents a certain kind of person…an attitude. Think back to your days in junior high. You’re at your school dance and you have been waiting for this day all year long. Why? Well, because now your hopeful ass has the chance to slow dance with the love of your twelve-year old life. When you finally stop sweating profusely and Total Eclipse of the Heart (your favorite song) comes on, you decide it’s time to ask your crush to dance. She’s sitting on the bench near the wall with her friends; you approach slowly, but, just as you do… Jimmy Dean (the cool guy) grabs her hand and drags her to the washroom. You follow. What do you see? Jimmy is smoking a cigarette in the girl’s room and when he finishes he grabs her and they start making out. Fuck you Jimmy Dean. So if now you ask, who is Hunter Valentine? JIMMY DEAN. He is the heartbreaker that fucked up your chances. He is the bad ass inside you that comes out every once and a while. We say “he” but anyone can have a little bit of Hunter Valentine in them. If you don’t love him, then you want to hate him. But you can’t. Because he is just himself and he never promised you anything.
