What was once a hit 2002 movie directed by Steven Spielberg is now a hit musical, as Catch Me If You Can lands on Broadway. While staying fairly true to the movie, this elaborate musical production mixes the exciting adventures of Frank Abagnale, Jr. with fantastic dance numbers and a catchy score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray). Actor Norbert Leo Butz has already won a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his amazing portrayal of Agent Carl Hanratty, so be sure to catch this daring Broadway musical soon.
Catch Me If You Can chronicles the adventures of Frank Abagnale, Jr. after he runs away from home before graduating high school. To get by, he begins forging checks and living the high life before becoming bored with all his free time. He decides to forge a job and becomes a pilot for Pan Am. However, his forged checks have caught the eye of the FBI and Agent Carl Hanratty is sent to track down Frank. Frank soon becomes bored with the life of a pilot and decides to become a doctor, where he meets and falls in love with a nurse named Brenda Strong. Hanratty finds Frank as he visits Brenda's family in New Orleans and Frank is forced to flee in order to protect himself and Brenda, but it won't be long until he's buried by all of his lies.
